Phenix Automotive Lens Makes Impressive Debut on "A Journey with Light" Industry Seminar

From May 27th to 28th, the 2021 "A Journey with Light" Optoelectronic Industry Seminar -- manufacturing and application of Ultra HD automotive and medical lenses, jointly supported by China International Optoelectronic Expo (CIOE) and Shenzhen Optics & Optoelectronics Industry Association, was held in Suzhou Industrial Park.


At the seminar, Ms. Zheng Qinhua, GM assistant of Phenix’s Automotive Optics BU, shared the applications of automotive lens in intelligent driving. The report mentions that the automated driving technology is growing exponentially, and automotive lens and LiDAR, as core components, is playing an important role of "perception" in automated driving. 8M HUD is being applied in front ADAS, APA&AVP application is being used in surround viewing. New system manufacturers and solution providers will put forward new requirements on the core performance of lens according to the algorithm. The applications of automotive lens products will transfer from traditional vision system to sensing system, and the product quality is also expected to "achieve zero defect". As for front, surround, back, DMS&OMS, CMS, LiDAR and other sensing automotive lenses, Phenix Optics has conducted in-depth discussions with relevant enterprises, especially about how to follow up and meet the technical development and quality requirements of the automotive industry.


Ms. Zheng also looks back at the development history of automotive lens clientele and its supply chain, and puts forward a blueprint of the future prospect of automotive lens as well as its technical requirements. Based on the market experience of more than a decade, Automotive Optics BU of Phenix Optics summarized the key problems of automotive lens at the present stage, and provides optical solutions accordingly.
